A full trailer for Thor: Love and Thunder has been released and it made its mighty debut during the NBA playoff game. The trailer is pretty exciting and offered up more of Natalie Portman’s Jane Foster and her debut as Thor.

Also getting a first look is Christian Bale’s Gorr the God Butcher. Some fans were upset that he was missing from the initial teaser trailer so it will be interesting to see what people on social media will have to say about their first glimpse of him. The new footage also shows Russell Crowe’s Zeus as he reigns supreme on Olympus. Gorr the God Butcher wants the extinction of the gods and this brings Thor out of retirement and back to his more mighty muscular physique, to stop him.

Per the movie’s official synopsis, “The film finds Thor (Chris Hemsworth) on a journey unlike anything he’s ever faced – a quest for inner peace. But his retirement is interrupted by a galactic killer known as Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale), who seeks the extinction of the gods. To combat the threat, Thor enlists the help of King Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Korg (Taika Waititi), and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), who – to Thor’s surprise – inexplicably wields his magical hammer, Mjolnir, as the Mighty Thor. Together, they embark upon a harrowing cosmic adventure to uncover the mystery of the God Butcher’s vengeance and stop him before it’s too late.”
