Sniper: The White Raven is inspired by a true story and showcases the Russo-Ukrainian War from a personal perspective,” reads the film’s synopsis. “It is a story of self-sacrifice, following a pacifist whose dreams and hopes are shattered when soldiers invade his home. His struggle for justice will force him to confront his own principles, make difficult choices, and pay a high price for his decisions. Created by a Ukrainian team and shot in the region, this film is incredibly timely and is driven by Ukrainian voices, providing dramatized insight into the conflict that has been brewing for nearly a decade.”
