Following the theatrical run of the hit animated movie, the Puss in Boots: The Last Wish Peacock release date has been set for its streaming debut.

DreamWorks Animation announced the Puss in Boots: The Last Wish Peacock release date on Friday, confirming that the film will premiere on Peacock on March 10, 2023. It joins several other DreamWorks projects on the service, including the Shrek franchise, The Croods, and Trolls World Tour. Additionally, the Puss in Boots Shorts series of short films will also be available on the streaming service.

Following its launch, Puss in Boots: The Last Wish received stellar reviews from critics and audiences alike, praising the animation styles, themes, voice acting, and more. The film grossed nearly $500 million worldwide and became the second-highest-grossing animated film of 2022. It was also nominated for Best Animated Feature at a variety of award shows, including the upcoming Academy Awards.

“The sequel will again follow Puss in Boots as he discovers that his passion for adventure has taken its toll,” reads the synopsis. “He has burned through eight of his nine lives, leaving him with only one life left. Puss sets out on an epic journey to find the mythical Last Wish and restore his nine lives.”

The film features the voices of Antonio Banderas, Salma Hayek Pinault, Harvey Guillén, Florence Pugh, Jack Horner, John Mulaney, Wagner Moura, Olivia Colman, Ray Winstone, Samson Kayo, Anthony Mendez, and Da’Vine Joy Randolph.
