Matthews will play a recurring role and is set to appear opposite star Tatiana Maslany, who plays Jennifer Walters in the show. It’s unclear exactly who Matthews will play, but the actor did sound excited after news of his casting was confirmed.

“Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would join the Marvel [Cinematic] Universe!” Matthews said. “This was never a genre that I thought an actor like me (in my package) could fit into. The most exciting part of joining the MCU was being told by our director and writers: ‘Do not try to fit. Just be you.’ And that gave me the freedom to run wild…”

Matthews is best known for his role as Shane Evans in HBO’s The Flight Attendant, but has also appeared in the Netflix series Dear White People, HBO’s Ballers, and more.
