The Flash star Ezra Miller found himself in a situation that he simply could not outrun. The actor was arrested in Hilo, Hawaii after an incident at a bar, per Deadline.
According to police, Miller was at the bar when he “became agitated while patrons at the bar began singing karaoke.” Apparently, he didn’t like their song choices because he then “began yelling obscenities and at one point grabbed the microphone from a 23-year-old woman singing karaoke…and later lunged at a 32-year-old man playing darts.” After the incident, Miller was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and harassment. He was released after he posted a $500 bond. You can read the full statement from the Hawaii Police Department that was posted on their Facebook below!
Shortly after midnight on Monday, March 28, 2022, a 29-year-old man visiting from Vermont was arrested and charged for disorderly conduct and harassment after an incident at a bar in Hilo.
On Sunday, March 27, at 11:30 p.m., South Hilo patrol officers responded to a report of disorderly patron at a bar on Silva Street. During the course of their investigation, police determined that the man, later identified as Ezra Miller, became agitated while patrons at the bar began singing karaoke. Miller began yelling obscenities and at one point grabbed the microphone from a 23-year-old woman singing karaoke (disorderly conduct offense) and later lunged at a 32-year-old man playing darts (harassment offense). The bar owner asked Miller to calm down several times to no avail.
Miller was arrested and charged on both offenses and total bail was set at $500. He provided the bail and was released.
This isn’t the first time that Miller has had a brush with trouble. Back in 2020, footage appeared online that depicted Miller choking a woman in a bar in Iceland. Those close to the situation described it as a serious altercation that led to Miller being escorted off the premises by staff.
This is not an ideal time for the actor to get into any trouble for Warner Bros. Miller plays an integral role in Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore, which is set to begin its global theatrical debut in April. The actor also plays Barry Allen in the DCEU and will next headline The Flash, which is set to hit theaters on June 23, 2023. Miller was featured as the character at this Sunday’s Academy Awards when Zack Snyder’s Justice League won in the newly introduced Oscars cheer moment category. A sequence described as “The Flash Enters the Speed Force” was voted the most cheer-worthy moment through online voting ahead of the show and footage from the film, featuring Miller, was showcased during the Oscars telecast.
