The Flash, Ezra Miller, arrested

The Flash star Ezra Miller has been arrested for second-degree assault in Hawaii, just weeks after their prior arrest for disorderly conduct and harassment.

Ezra Miller was arrested early Tuesday after officers responded to a report of an assault at a residence in Pāhoa, Hawaii. Variety says that the assault reportedly occurred at a party at a private residence and police say that Miller “became irate after being asked to leave and reportedly threw a chair, striking a 26-year-old female on the forehead, resulting in an approximate half-inch cut.The Flash actor was released just hours after their arrest after conferring with the County Prosecutor’s Office, but the investigation remains active.

The troubled actor has been at the center of several incidents in recent months. Ezra Miller was first arrested in March after police officers responded to a call from a local bar. Miller had become unruly while other patrons were singing karaoke and began yelling obscenities. They then grabbed the microphone away from a woman who was singing and lunged at a man playing darts. After paying a $500 bail, they were released from custody. The day after, a Hawaiian couple filed a restraining order against Miller, claiming that they had burst into their room, threatened them, and stole some of their belongings. The order was later dropped at the request of the couple. According to Hawaii Police Assistant Chief Kenneth Quiocho, Ezra Miller has been the source of 10 police calls in Hilo since March 7th.

These events are reportedly damaging Miller’s future with Warner Bros., as the studio has apparently hit pause on any projects involving them, including any future appearances in the DCEU. Some fans have even called for Grant Gustin, who plays The Flash on The CW, to replace Miller as the big-screen Flash. Ezra Miller can currently be seen in Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore, with The Flash currently slated for a June 23, 2023 release.
