The new season FX’s hit show, The Bear, shows that the only thing harder than running a kitchen is opening a new establishment.

FX has been announcing new information for the slate of their benchmark TV shows today. Earlier, news broke that Archer will return for season 14, which will also be its final season. It joins the sixteenth season of their legacy hit, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Now, the trailer for season two of their award-winning show The Bear makes its debut, and according to The Hollywood Reporter, the new season may have a newer focus, but it will retain the intensity that the show is known for.

The official synopsis for the second season of FX’s The Bear reads,
Season two follows Carmy, Sydney, and Richie as they work to transform their grimy sandwich joint into a next-level spot. As they strip the restaurant down to its bones, the crew undertakes transformational journeys of their own, each forced to confront the past and reckon with who they want to be in the future. Of course, it turns out the only thing harder than running a restaurant is opening a new one, and the team must juggle the insane bureaucracy of permits and contractors with the beauty and creative agony of menu planning. The transition brings a newfound focus on hospitality as well. As the entire staff is forced to come together in new ways, pushing the boundaries of their abilities and relationships, they also learn what it means to be in service, both to diners and each other.

Jeremy Allen White returns to his breakout award-winning role as Carmy. He’s also joined by Ayo Edebiri and Ebon Moss-Bachrach in their respective roles as Sydney and Richie. This season will also star Abby Elliott, Lionel Boyce, Liza Colón-Zayas, and Matty Matheson. Edwin Lee Gibson and Oliver Platt also return to reprise their recurring characters from the first season. Molly Gordon is added as someone who is implied to be from Carmy’s past.

The Bear was created and executive produced by Christopher Storer. He shares executive producing duties with  Joanna Calo, Hiro Murai of Super Frog, Josh Senior, and Matty Matheson. Tyson Bidner of FX Productions is on board as a producer of the show.

The Bear Season 2 is opening its doors to the public on June 22.
