When does The Bear Season 2 premiere?
In a new tweet, FX revealed that the second season of The Bear is set to premiere on June 22, 2023. FX also shared a new poster from the upcoming series previewing some new dishes set to be served as well as the main cast returning.
The Bear is executive produced by Christopher Storer, Joanna Calo, Hiro Murai, Nate Matteson, and Josh Senior. The comedy drama stars Jeremy Allen White, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Ayo Edebiri, Abby Elliott, Lionel Boyce, Liza Colón-Zayas, Edwin Lee Gibson and Matty Matheson.
“The series follows Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto (White), a young chef from the fine dining world, who comes home to Chicago to run his family sandwich shop – The Original Beef of Chicagoland – after a heartbreaking death in his family. A world away from what he’s used to, Carmy must balance the soul-crushing realities of small business ownership, his strong-willed and recalcitrant kitchen staff and his strained familial relationships, all while grappling with the impact of his brother’s suicide,” reads the synopsis.
“The Bear is about food, family, the insanity of the grind, the beauty of sense of urgency, and the steep slippery downsides. As Carmy fights to transform both The Original Beef of Chicagoland and himself, he works alongside a rough-around-the-edges kitchen crew that ultimately reveal themselves as his chosen family.”
For his emotional leading performance in Season 1, White earned a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a Comedy Series. The show was also nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Television Series – Musical or Comedy.
