Cocaine Bear (read our review HERE) screenwriter Jimmy Warden has said that he has ideas for multiple sequels to the film, and some movie-goers have already let it be known that they’re hoping and waiting for a movie that would be called Cocaine Shark. But while we wait to see if Cocaine Bear is going to spawn a franchise, the mockbuster masters at The Asylum have unveiled a poster of the mockbuster they have made to cash in on the Cocaine Bear hype: a movie called Attack of the Meth Gator! An exact release date hasn’t been announced, but we can expect to see Attack of the Meth Gator sometime this summer.

We can only assume that Attack of the Meth Gator is going to be about an alligator going on a killing spree after consuming meth, much like Cocaine Bear is about a bear going on a killing spree after consuming cocaine. And while it would be more budget-friendly to have this gator going wild in the countryside, the poster for the movie indicates that the story might drop it into the middle of a big city.

The Asylum doesn’t only make mockbusters, but they have made a whole lot of them. When Avatar: The Way of Water was released, The Asylum had Battle for Pandora ready to go. The release of Bullet Train was met with The Asylum’s Bullet Train Down. Top Gun: Maverick was mockbusted with Top Gunner: Danger Zone. When Thor: Love and Thunder was released, The Asylum brought us Thor: God of Thunder. Jurassic World: Dominion = Jurassic Domination. Dune = Planet Dune. Jungle Cruise = Jungle Run. Godzilla vs. Kong was mockbusted with Ape vs. Monster. Other films from The Asylum have included Monster Hunters, The Fast and the Fierce, Battle Star Wars, Alien Predator, Avengers Grimm, Atlantic Rim, Geo-Disaster, San Andreas Quake, Android Cop, The Terminators, Transmorphers… The list goes on.

I haven’t seen very many of The Asylum’s mockbusters myself, but I have to say that the idea of Attack of the Meth Gator is instantly appealing to me, just like Cocaine Bear was. This is one mockbuster I might actually have to watch.

Are you a fan of The Asylum’s mockbusters, and would you watch a movie called Attack of the Meth Gator? Let us know by leaving a comment below.
