Ryan Reynolds’ has been a star for decades, but his stardom has seemingly exploded over the past few years. His latest, a nostalgic sci-fi adventure called The Adam Project, has built momentum week after week on Netflix, and now it’s among the most popular movies to ever premiere on the streaming service.

Sitting among the buzzworthy Don’t Look Up and award-winning fare like The IrishmanThe Adam Project is resting at the seventh spot on the list according to an exclusive report by The Hollywood Reporter. It’s worth noting that, since it is still somewhat new, it could still rise in the ranks, as this list only takes into account each film’s performance within its first 28 days. In total, The Adam Project has been streamed for 209.7 million hours, and its place on the list is one of three movies starring Ryan Reynolds to appear there. Red Notice took the top spot with 364 million hours watched and 6 Underground came in ninth place with 205.5 million hours viewed.

It’s also a success story for director Shawn Levy, who has secured spots on both the TV and movie top 10 lists thanks to his collaborations with Reynolds and his work on Stranger Things. Levy said he is thrilled with the film’s success, even revealing that 25% of Adam Project viewers went back to watch it again.

“To see both Adam Project and Free Guy connect in such a globally commercial way is really meaningful to Ryan and I,” said Levy.

The pair plan to keep making things together, starting with Deadpool 3. This will see the X-Men-related series jump to Marvel Studios, possibly laying the groundwork for more merry mutants to enter the Marvel Cinematic Universe in a more official capacity. Levy and Reynolds are also working on a sequel to Free Guy for another branch of the Disney company, which will be good news to anyone who caught it recently for its streaming premiere on Disney+.
