Netflix dropped the first That ’90s Show featurette from the upcoming sequel series to the classic sitcom, providing us with a behind-the-scenes look at the new and returning cast. It is scheduled to make its debut on January 19, 2023.

The video features commentary by lead stars Kurtwood Smith and Debra Jo Rupp as they talked about what it’s like coming back to the show’s familiar set and playing their iconic characters once again. It also offers us a preview of some of the original That ’70s Show cast’s guest appearances including Topher Grace, Mila Kunis, Ashton Kutcher, Laura Prepon, and Wilmer Valderrama.

That ’90s Show stars Kurtwood Smith and Debra Jo Rupp reprising their roles as Red Forman and Kitty Forman in the 10-episode series. They are joined by Callie Haverda, Ashley Aufderheide (Emergence), Mace Coronel (Colin in Black & White), Maxwell Acee Donovan (Gabby Duran & The Unsittables), and Reyn Doi (Side Hustle).

“Hello, Wisconsin! It’s 1995 and Leia Forman, daughter of Eric and Donna, is visiting her grandparents for the summer where she bonds with a new generation of Point Place kids under the watchful eye of Kitty and the stern glare of Red,” reads the official synopsis. “Sex, drugs and rock ’n roll never dies, it just changes clothes.”

That ’90s Show comes from the original series creators Bonnie and Terry Turner. Producers for the project are reportedly hoping that other familiar characters from That ’70s Show will make guest appearances on the new series. Ten episodes of the series have been ordered for the multi-cam spin-off. Gregg Mettler serves as showrunner while Bonnie, Terry, and Lindsey Turner, Marcy Carsey, and Tom Werner will executive produce.

That ’70s Show debuted in 1998 and ran for eight seasons until 2006. In addition to Smith and Rupp, the series also starred Topher Grace, Mila Kunis, Ashton Kutcher, Laura Prepon, and Wilmer Valderrama. Previous cast member Danny Masterson is currently set to stand trial for three rape charges in Los Angeles.
