We don’t often see Sylvester Stallone on the small screen, but the actor has just finished shooting his first leading role in a TV series. Sylvester Stallone took to Instagram to announce that Tulsa King has wrapped production. The crime drama was created by Taylor Sheridan and stars Stallone as a New York mafia capo who establishes a new criminal empire after his release from prison.
“I never worked so hard in my life and had so much fun,” Sylvester Stallone said in the Instagram video. “What we came up with is something extraordinary and life-changing for me.” Check out the rest below!
In the caption, Sylvester Stallone wrote, “TULSA KING… This was a very long ,difficult ,exciting, mind blowing production has just ended in Oklahoma. Though it was a long time to be away it was worth it and to work with fantastic talent in front and behind the camera. Sylvester Stallone stars in Tulsa King as Dwight “The General” Manfredi, a New York mafia capo. After he’s released from prison, Dwight is unceremoniously exiled by his boss to set up shop in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Realizing that his mob family may not have his best interests in mind, Dwight slowly builds a crew from a group of unlikely characters to help him establish a new criminal empire in a place that might as well be another planet. In addition to Stallone, Tulsa King also stars Andrea Savage (I’m Sorry), Martin Starr (Silicon Valley), Max Casella (The Tender Bar), Domenick Lombardozzi (The Irishman), Vincent Piazza (Boardwalk Empire), Jay Will (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel), A.C. Peterson (Superman & Lois), and Garrett Hedlund (The United States vs. Billie Holiday).
The first two episodes of Tulsa King will be released on Paramount+ on November 13th.
