Snowpiercer Ending After Season 4, TNT Issues Statement

The upcoming fourth season of TNT’s Snowpiercer series will be its last, according to a recent report from Deadline.

The report notes that TNT did not pick up the options for the series’ cast, releasing them and allowing them to seek out other jobs to book. The fourth season of the series is set to premiere sometime in the future. In a statement made to Deadline, a spokesperson for the network acknowledged the cancellation, thanking the cast and crew for their time on the series.

“We can confirm that Snowpiercer will end after a successful, multi-season run on TNT,” a spokesperson for the network said. “Its talented writers, actors, and crew took an extraordinary premise and brought it to life in thrilling ways. It was critically acclaimed, had a significant impact on the post-apocalyptic genre, and now remains in the hearts and minds of fans forever.”

Snowpiercer stars Jennifer Connelly, Daveed Diggs, Sean Bean, Rowan Blanchard, Alison Wright, Mickey Sumner, Iddo Goldberg, Katie McGuinness, Lena Hall, Annalise Basso, Sam Otto, Roberto Urbina, Sheila Vand, Mike O’Malley, and Steven Ogg. Season 3 will also feature the introduction of Emmy nominee Archie Panjabi and Chelsea Harris.

Snowpiercer is  executive produced by Graeme Manson, Aubrey Nealon, Marty Adelstein, Becky Clements, Matthew O’Connor, Ben Rosenblatt, and Scott Derrickson, and the original film’s producers, including Bong Joon Ho, Miky Lee,  Jinnie Choi, Park Chan-wook, Lee Tae-hun, and Dooho Choi. The show is produced by Tomorrow Studios, along with CJ Entertainment.

The first three seasons are available to stream now on HBO Max.
