Ryan Reynolds, Netflix, The Adam Project

Audiences around the globe have invested a lot of time watching movies on Netflix and it would seem that they enjoy watching Ryan Reynolds just as much. THR has reported that Ryan Reynolds now has three movies on Netflix’s Top 10 list, the only actor to do so.

Ryan Reynolds first appeared on Netflix’s Top 10 with Michael Bay’s action flick 6 Underground, which sits at #9 on the list. The actor’s next film for the streaming service found him starring alongside Dwayne Johnson and Gal Gadot in Red Notice, which wound up becoming Netflix’s biggest original movie ever and unsurprisingly sits at the #1 spot. The Adam Project was released less than three weeks ago but it has already broken onto Netflix’s Top 10 at #7 and could still move up. Keep in mind that the Top 10 list is based upon hours viewed during a movie’s first 28 days on the streaming service.

With The Adam Project cracking the Top 10, director Shawn Levy can also claim a Netflix record alongside Ryan Reynolds — he’s the only producer-director with a show on Netflix’s most popular English TV list (Stranger Things) and a film on Netflix’s most popular English film list. “I’m not going to be shy. To see both Adam Project and Free Guy connect in such a globally commercial way is really meaningful to Ryan and I,” Levy told THR. “I don’t make niche programming. I make mainstream programming. And to have both Adam Project and Stranger Things in the upper echelon of the most-watching programming on Netflix is a point of pride.” Ryan Reynolds and Shawn Levy will continue working together as the pair have several projects in the works. In addition to the Free Guy sequel, Shawn Levy will also direct the much-anticipated Deadpool 3.
