Russell Crowe, Liam Hemsworth, action-thriller, Land Of Bad

Deadline has reported that Russell Crowe and Liam Hemsworth will be teaming up for Land Of Bad, a new action-thriller from Will Eubank (Underwater).

Russell Crowe will play Reaper, “an Air Force drone pilot supporting a Delta Force special ops mission in the South Philippines. After the mission goes terribly wrong, he has 48 hours to remedy what has devolved into a wild rescue operation.” Liam Hemsworth will play “the green air controller who is thrust into the middle of a high-stakes extraction which involves no weapons and no communication other than the drone above.” Liam Hemsworth and Russell Crowe will start production on Land Of Bad in Australia this September.

Will Eubank will direct Land Of Bad and also co-wrote the script alongside David Drigerio. “I am thrilled to work with Russell and Liam and couldn’t be more grateful to this whole team in helping bring this project to life,” Eubank said in a statement. David Drigerio added, “I couldn’t be more stoked to be making this timely film especially with my good friend Will Eubank piloting the ship. I am beyond excited to watch Russell and Liam bring these characters to life. Buckle up!” Highland Film Group will launch sales for the film at the upcoming Cannes market.

Liam Hemsworth is currently shooting Lonely Planet for Netflix, a love story written and directed by Susannah Grant which that stars Laura Dern. As for Russell Crowe, he’ll next be seen with Liam’s big-brother Chris as Zeus in Thor: Love and Thunder on July 8, 2022. The Thor sequel isn’t the only comic-book movie Crowe has on his slate as he’ll also be joining Aaron Taylor-Johnson in the Kraven the Hunter movie.
