I was absolutely obsessed with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles when I was younger, but beyond the original animated series and the initial live-action movies, I haven’t really returned to the franchise all that often. Each time I find myself writing about the Turtles, I’m surprised by just how many projects have surfaced over the decades. The latest was Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, an animated series that aired on Nickelodeon for two seasons. Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has returned with an all-new movie that will premiere on Netflix next month and the streaming service has released the first trailer for your viewing pleasure.
Featuring the voices of Ben Schwartz, Omar Miller, Brandon Mychal Smith, Josh Brener, Kat Graham, Eric Bauza, Haley Joel Osment, Rhys Darby, and John Michael Higgins, Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Movie will continue where the Nickelodeon series left off. A mysterious stranger from the future named Casey Jones arrives to warn the Turtles of a dangerous alien invasion that threatens to destroy the world. Tony Gamo-Lobo and Rebecca May penned the script with Ant Ward and Andy Suriano directing the movie.
