The new Transformers: Rise of the Beasts TV Spot introduces audiences to Pete Davidson’s Mirage, an Autobot with holographic tech.

The Robots in Disguise have touched down at Super Bowl LVII for a Transformers: Rise of the Beasts TV SpotThe brand-new promo introduced audiences to Mirage, an Autobot voiced by Saturday Night Live alum Pete Davidson. Mirage reveals itself in the footage to Noah (Anthony Ramos) and shows the bewildered human fancy tricks from his elaborate kit. As the name suggests, Mirage can create holograms of itself, confusing enemies during hot pursuits.

The Transformers: Rise of the Beasts TV Spot features intense action on the road, from winding backroads to brightly-lit city streets. As Noah and Mirage cruise the streets, Mirage pulls out all the stops for Noah, showing his new partner in the oncoming war what he can do on the road and off. It’s easy to see how the pair will become fast friends while pulling tricks on the road that could make Dominic Toretto and the rest of the Fast family envious.

Returning to the action and spectacle that have captured moviegoers worldwide, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts will take audiences on a ’90s globetrotting adventure with the Autobots and introduce a whole new breed of Transformer – the Maximals – to the existing battle on earth between Autobots and Decepticons. Steven Caple Jr. directs, with Anthony Ramos, Dominique Fishback, Michelle Yeoh, Pete Davidson, Ron Perlman, Peter Dinklage, Peter Cullen, John DiMaggio, Michaela Jaé (MJ) Rodriguez, Cristo Fernández, and Liza Koshy starring. The film arrives in theatres on June 9, 2023.

The previous Transformers movie, Bumblebee, was released in 2018. Starring Marvel’s Hailee Steinfeld, the film was a soft reboot of the robots in disguise franchise. While Bumblebee failed to do donuts around the box office ($468M worldwide), Transformer fans embraced the movie’s ’80s aesthetic and classic look for the robots.
