After being pulled from HBO Max, the remaining episodes of The Nevers will stream on free-streaming service Tubi.

The Nevers, Tubi

The Nevers was cancelled and pulled from HBO Max last year, but the second half of the first (and now only) season never aired. Thankfully, fans of the series will get the chance to watch those unseen episodes as The Nevers will soon be available to stream on Tubi.

Set in Victorian London, The Nevers follows a group of people, mostly women, known as the Touched, who suddenly manifest abnormal abilities. Among them are Amalia True (Laura Donnelly), a mysterious and quick-fisted widow, and her best friend Penance Adair (Ann Skelly), a brilliant inventor. The series was created by Joss Whedon, who departed halfway through its production and was replaced by Philippa Goslett.

When news broke that The Nevers would be removed from HBO Max, it was said that the series would likely resurface on other platforms. It was also said that the storyline has “been crafted in a way that it concludes” with the final six episodes. Showrunner Philippa Goslett teased to TVLine what fans could expect from these last episodes. “The stakes of the here and now in 1899 are sky high, and there’s still that glowing entity under London to be considered,” Goslett said. “However, whatever Amalia imagines the coming fight is going to be pales in comparison with the actual deep conflict she will have to face over the next half of the series.

Goslett also confirmed that the finale of The Nevers should prove satisfying. “I think Episode 12 brings all our storylines home to roost in ways which will feel satisfyingly cathartic,” Goslett said. “There are definitely story elements and character dynamics there which were intended to push into future series [seasons], but they would have been starting a new chapter of The Nevers. I believe that we bring this one to what feels like a natural close.

The first five episodes of The Nevers have begun streaming on Tubi today, with the remaining six episodes spread out over the next two days. I never got around to watching the series myself, but I’m sure fans are grateful that they’ll finally be able to witness the rest of the story.
