Happy Star Trek Day! Gene Roddenberry’s long-running sci-fi franchise has grown considerably in recent years. Following the launch of Star Trek: Discovery, we got Star Trek: Picard, Star Trek: Lower Decks, Star Trek: Prodigy, and Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. During today’s Star Trek Day presentation, a new teaser trailer for Star Trek: Picard season 3 was released that brings the crew of The Next Generation together for one more adventure.

Jean-Luc, wherever you go… we go.” You’re going to make me cry, Riker. In addition to Patrick Stewart as Jean-Luc Picard, the Star Trek: Picard season 3 teaser also features Jonathan Frakes as Riker, Marina Sirtis as Troi, LeVar Burton as Geordi, Gates McFadden as Crusher, Michael Dorn as Worf, Jeri Ryan as Seven, and Michelle Hurd as Raffi. Brent Spiner will also be back for the new season, but as a new character. There’s also plenty of space-porn to be had, with a look at the classic Spacedock facility still orbiting Earth (with a few upgrades) as well as the new U.S.S. Titan. I’m ready.

I remember watching the premiere of Star Trek: The Next Generation almost 34 years ago with my father like it was yesterday,” said Star Trek: Picard season 3 showrunner and executive producer Terry Matalas. “It was the spark that ignited my love for science fiction. So, it’s most fitting that the story of Jean-Luc Picard ends honoring the beginning, with his dearest and most loyal friends from the U.S.S. Enterprise. It would be an understatement to say that giving these characters a proper send-off is an honor. The entire Star Trek: Picard team and I can’t wait for fans to experience this final, high-stakes, starship-bound adventure in season three!

The third and final season of Star Trek: Picard will debut on Paramount+ on February 16, 2023. What did you think of the latest teaser trailer for Star Trek: Picard season 3?
