According to Deadline, full production on Denis Villeneuve’s highly-anticipated action sci-fi sequel Dune: Part Two is scheduled to begin later this month on July 21 which is expected to take place once again in Budapest, Hungary. The outlet notes that the Timothee Chalamet-led second installment has already started pre-filming in Italy, which is reportedly being shot at the Carlo Scarpa.

The film’s release date was recently pushed back for nearly a month from October 20, 2023 to November 17, 2023, which will now pit the film against two high-profile films including the dystopian prequel The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes and the fantasy comedy If starring John Krasinski and Ryan Reynolds.
