During Steven Martin and Martin Short’s most recent comedy show at the Walt Disney Theater in Florida (via Variety), the long-time collaborators have unexpectedly confirmed the Only Murders in the Building Season 3 release date.

When will Only Murders in the Building Season 3 release?

Hulu’s acclaimed comedy is scheduled to make its return on August 8, 2023. This announcement comes over a week since production had officially wrapped on the latest installment, which will feature the appearances of A-list stars Meryl Streep and Paul Rudd. Further details about Season 3’s plot are still being kept under wraps, but it will possibly revolve around the mysterious death of Rudd’s character, which was already teased during the last season’s final episode.

Only Murders in the Building centers around three strangers who share an obsession with “true crime” and suddenly find themselves wrapped up in one. The series stars Martin Short, Selena Gomez, Steve Martin, Nathan Lane, and Michael Cyril Creighton. Season 3 introduces Marvel Cinematic Universe star Paul Rudd as Broadway actor Ben Glenroy, Meryl Streep (Big Little Lies), and Ashley Park (Emily in Paris).

The series hails from co-writers and co-creators Steve Martin and John Hoffman (Grace & Frankie). Its executive producers are Martin, Hoffman, Short, Gomez, Jamie Babbitt, Dan Fogelman, and Jess Rosenthal.

The first two seasons of Only Murders in the Building are now available for streaming on Hulu.
