O cineasta canadense Jean-Marc Vallée faleceu inesperadamente com apenas 58 anos.

O representante de Vallée revelou que o diretor morreu repentinamente enquanto estava em sua cabine durante as férias. Ele faleceu fora da cidade de Quebec, Canadá, neste fim de semana. Outros detalhes sobre a morte de Vallée permanecem esparsos.

Vallée fez sua estreia na direção em 1995 com Lista negra e obteve aclamação da crítica global em 2013 após dirigir Dallas Buyers Club. O drama biográfico estrelado por Matthew McConaughey foi indicado a seis Oscars, incluindo Melhor Filme, Melhor Ator, Melhor Ator Coadjuvante, Melhor Roteiro Original, Melhor Edição de Filme e Melhor Maquiagem e Penteado. Acabou ganhando três prêmios da Academia: Melhor Ator por McConaughey, Melhor Ator Coadjuvante por Jared Leto e Melhor Maquiagem e Penteado por Adruitha Lee e Robin Mathews.

Mais recentemente, Vallée fez sucesso na televisão.
