A brand-new Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania trailer was released this evening on ESPN during the College Football Playoff National Championship. Check it out above!

The release of the Ant-Man sequel won’t only kick off Phase 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but it will also officially introduce audiences to the next big-bad of the MCU — Kang the Conqueror (Jonathan Majors). Director Peyton Reed has previously said that Kang will have “a profound impact on the MCU. Jeff Loveness, who wrote this movie, is writing The Kang Dynasty as well, so there’s been a lot of discussion about the impact that this appearance of Kang the Conqueror makes. There are big things in store.” Majors made his first MCU appearance as He Who Remains, an alternate version of the character, in the Loki series on Disney+, but Reed said that this version of Kang is quite different. “Kang the Conqueror in our movie is a very different character.” Reed said. “He’s someone who has dominion over time, and he’s a warrior and a strategist. That’s interesting to me: to take the tiniest, and in some people’s minds weakest, Avenger, and put them up against this absolute force of nature.

As Peyton Reed said, Kang the Conqueror will have a big impact on the MCU, with the character set to close out The Multiverse Saga with Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars. As a big fan of Jonathan Majors, I can’t wait to see what he brings to Kang.

Superhero partners Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) and Hope Van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) return to continue their adventures as Ant-Man and the Wasp,” reads the official synopsis. “Together, with Hope’s parents Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) and Janet Van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer), and Scott’s daughter Cassie Lang (Kathryn Newton), the family finds themselves exploring the Quantum Realm, interacting with strange new creatures and embarking on an adventure that will push them beyond the limits of what they thought possible.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania will hit theaters on February 17, 2023. What did you think of the new trailer for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania? Here are two new posters that dropped for the film today!
