Assassin’s Creed Valhalla recently got the biggest expansion in the series with March’s Dawn of Ragnarök. But Ubisoft is not done updating the game, as its trophy list has revealed the existence of new Mastery Challenges.

Ubisoft has not officially spoken about Assassin’s Creed Valhalla‘s future or any such Mastery Challenges, but trophies for the PlayStation 4 version of the game have prematurely revealed these new quests. The update (seemingly called “The Reckoning”) brings one trophy called “Full Master” that rewards players with a Bronze trophy for getting gold medals in the Mastery Challenges. It’s unclear if this will unlock after getting gold medals in every Mastery Challenge or just this set of new ones.
Another set of Mastery Challenges was already hinted at in the game’s trophy list, as the original Mastery Challenges set was eventually updated with “Part 1,” implying more parts were incoming. This also probably isn’t the last update, too, as the game’s Tombs of the Fallen update left off on a cliffhanger. And while there will likely still be some smaller updates in the game’s future, chances of another large expansion seem slim given Assassin’s Creed Infinity and the rumors of the smaller, stealthier Assassin’s Creed that is reportedly on the way.

Mastery Challenges were added for free in June 2021. These new missions tested the player’s stealth, combat, and bow and arrow skills in a variety of different ways and judged their performance.
