Carry On will be directed by Jaume Collet-Serra, who’s best known for his work on The Shallows, Jungle Cruise, and the forthcoming live-action Black Adam film. The project is written by TJ Fixman and Michael Green.

“The thriller centers around Ethan Kopek, a young TSA agent who gets blackmailed by a mysterious traveler to let a dangerous package slip through security and onto a Christmas Day flight,” reads the synopsis.

Egerton first gained recognition for his breakout performance in Matthew Vaughn’s first two Kingsman films. For his role as Elton John in the Rocketman biopic, he won his first Golden Globe Award for Best Actor – Motion Picture Musical or Comedy. He is currently receiving praise for his most recent role as Jimmy Keene in Apple TV+’s crime drama miniseries Black Bird.
