Netflix has released a brand new clip from Resident Evil, the upcoming live-action horror drama, which will make its debut this Thursday, July 14.

The video features Lance Reddick’s Albert Wesker as he orders his terrified daughters to go ahead without him, while he gets left behind to cover their tracks in hopes of protecting them from Umbrella Corporation. He is seen messing with the labs’ computers, and later on, putting a zombie dog’s blood on his face.

“Set in the year 2036, 14 years after a deadly virus caused a global apocalypse, Jade Wesker fights for survival in a world overrun by the blood-thirsty infected and insane creatures,” reads the synopsis. “In this absolute carnage, Jade is haunted by her past in New Raccoon City, by her father’s chilling connections to the Umbrella Corporation, but mostly by what happened to her sister, Billie.”

The live-action Resident Evil series hails from Supernatural executive producer Andrew Dabb, who is serving as a writer, executive producer, and showrunner. It will reportedly be set between two timelines featuring the same protagonist. It stars John Wick star Lance Reddick as Albert Wesker, the villainous head of Umbrella Corporation.
