Moon Knight clip introduces the terrifying Khonshu

[ad_1]

Following in the footsteps of WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki, What If?…, and Hawkeye, the latest Marvel Cinematic Universe TV series to launch on Disney+ will be Moon Knight. The six-episode limited-series stars Oscar Isaac as Marc Spector, an ex-soldier with a case of dissociative identity disorder that manifests as distinct individuals who becomes the conduit for the Egyptian moon god Khonshu. Marvel Studios has released a new Moon Knight clip which finds Khonshu making a terrifying introduction to Spector, who is in his Steve Grant persona.

In addition to Oscar Isaac, Moon Knight also stars Ethan Hawke, Lucy Thackeray, May Calamawy, and the late Gaspard Ulliel. Khonshu, who has been described as an “imperious and sort of snotty and vengeful” deity, will be voiced by F. Murray Abraham. Moon Knight creator Jeremy Slater has said that Khonshu is “this incredibly powerful and immortal God (with) his own insecurities and throws temper tantrums sometimes.” Ethan Hawke plays the main villain, Arthur Harrow, a religious zealot and cult leader associated with the god Ammit who see Moon Knight as an obstacle to him “healing the world” and who encourages Marc Spector to embrace his inner darkness. Nice to see a dash of horror in the Moon Knight clip, I can’t wait to see what they do with the series. Are you looking forward to Moon Knight?

The official synopsis for Moon Knight:

The series follows Steven Grant, a mild-mannered gift-shop employee, who becomes plagued with blackouts and memories of another life. Steven discovers he has dissociative identity disorder and shares a body with mercenary Marc Spector. As Steven/Marc’s enemies converge upon them, they must navigate their complex identities while thrust into a deadly mystery among the powerful gods of Egypt.

Moon Knight will debut on Disney+ on March 30th.
