Misha Collins, Gotham Knights, Supernatural

After spending more than a decade as the angel Castiel on Supernatural, Misha Collins is looking to return to The CW as he’s set to play Harvey Dent/Two-Face in the Gotham Knights pilot.

The Gotham Knights pilot will take place in the wake of Bruce Wayne’s murder as his rebellious adopted son forges an unlikely alliance with the children of Batman’s enemies when they are all framed for killing the Caped Crusader. And as the city’s most wanted criminals, this renegade band of misfits must fight to clear their names. But in a Gotham with no Dark Knight to protect it, the city descends into the most dangerous it’s ever been. However, hope comes from the most unexpected of places as this team of mismatched fugitives will become its next generation of saviors known as the Gotham Knights. “Dashing, with a swagger, Harvey Dent is Gotham’s charismatic, hard-charging District Attorney,” reads the official Gotham Knights character description. “With a rigid sense of right and wrong, Harvey’s idealism and single-minded quest for justice will ironically and tragically transform him into one of Gotham’s most feared supervillains, Two-Face.” Misha Collins took to Twitter to joke that he might need a little Castiel to feel comfortable about playing Harvey Dent on Gotham Knights.

In addition to Misha Collins as Harvey Dent, Gotham Knights will also feature Fallon Smythe as Harper Row/Bluebird; Tyler DiChiara as Harper’s brother, Cullen Row; Oscar Morgan as Turner Hayes; Navia Ziraili Robinson as Carrie Kelley; and Olivia Rose Keegan as Duela Dent.

Natalie Abrams, Chad Fiveash and James Stoteraux, all alums of The CW’s Batwoman series, will pen the Gotham Knights series, with Fiveash and Stoteraux also serving as executive producers alongside Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, and David Madden, with Abrams co-executive producing. Despite the trio’s past with Batwoman, the Gotham Knights series isn’t a spinoff of that show, nor is it related to the Gotham Knights video game set to be released later this year.
