All WWE rumors and news today
Here are all the WWE rumors, news, and leaks that have appeared on our radar today, May 3.
Mike Tyson wants to fight Logan Paul in a WWE ring
‘Iron’ Mike Tyson has hinted at facing Logan Paul in a WWE ring after talks of a boxing match between the two fizzled out.
Speaking to Forbes, Tyson said he would be interested in going toe-to-toe with the older Paul brother in WWE. He said: “I would do it! I would kick his [expletive] ass, yes I would do it. Even though I love him, though (laughs).”
Mike Tyson has a long history with the WWE. The boxer was the special guest referee in Stone Cold Steve Austin’s WrestleMania 14 victory against Shawn Michaels, and a Hall of Fame inductee in 2012. Logan continues to be a success in the pro wrestling world, being one of the biggest draws in the industry.
Vince McMahon’s idea for Roman Reigns’ Night of Champions opponent was dismissed
Vince McMahon continues to allegedly meddle in WWE’s affairs after returning to the company. Now it has been reported that the executive chairman is trying to make suggestions for Roman Reigns’ next opponent.
It’s still unclear who the WWE Champion will face at Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia, despite the show set to take place later this month on May 27. According to GiveMeSport, Vince McMahon suggested ideas for who the Tribal Chief should face off again. However, those ideas were dismissed because they didn’t make “any sense.”
WWE Draft leaves people within the company ‘puzzled’
The WWE Draft has included four free agents, with those Superstars able to jump between both Raw and SmackDown for the foreseeable future. However, people within WWE have allegedly been left “puzzled” by the individuals chosen for this role.
According to Fightful Select, the free agents Omos, Dolph Ziggler, Mustafa Ali, and Von Wagner caused WWE employees to scratch their heads, Omos drew the most attention as the giant is set to face off against Seth Rollins at Backlash and had a match against Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 39.
Bray Wyatt linked with new WWE creative writer
Bray Wyatt has been notably absent from WWE programming recently. When the Eater of Worlds returns, though, his character could be going in a brand new direction.
Wyatt will allegedly soon make his return and will be working with a new writer on his promos, WWE Hall of Famer Road Dogg claimed on his podcast (via RingsideNews). Road Dogg, who is an executive at WWE, noted that viewers would have to see “how all of that unfolds down the road.”
