Doctor Strange is up to bat for the ongoing series of gameplay videos showing off everything players need to know in Midnight Suns. Marvel’s Sorcerer Supreme is described as the ultimate support hero, using his magic to make his allies disappear from the battlefield, cast broad shields that let heroes resist incoming attacks,  generate resources from thin air, and summon fireballs from the sky to rain down on enemies.

Canadian YouTuber ChristopherOdd is at the helm of this gameplay video, going over three of Strange’s unique abilities and some strategies to best use the character effectively. Strange is meant to fit in with most squads thanks to his wide range of abilities, but his resource-generating passive means that he’ll fit best with characters with bombastic attacks that require that extra boost.

Strange also has the handy ability to restore combat items during a battle. These are additional cards players can bring in that give extra perks to a team of heroes. Some of the examples from the video include a Gamma Reversion Pulse that gets rid of status effects and a Reality Anchor that reduces knockback on a single hero. All of these items are just as themed appropriately to the Marvel Universe as each hero’s ability, and getting to use them more than once is quite a boon.
