Midnight Suns Blade Gameplay Showcase Previews Unique Abilities

Following a teaser trailer that dropped a couple of days ago, the latest gameplay showcase for Marvel’s Midnight Suns is all about the vampire-hunting hero himself, Blade.

The gameplay showcase comes courtesy of 2K NextMaker Christopher Odd once again, and dives into what makes Blade one of the more unique characters in the game. Due to his dual nature as half human, half vampire, Blade’s playstyle is more-or-less full on attack focused, but can also deal out “Bleed” damage to enemies, dropping their health further as each turn goes by.

One of Blade’s main skills, Make ‘Em Bleed, allows players to draw Blade cards, and then add 2 Bleed to any two of their next attacks. This can make for quite the combo, as if you have a large chain attack card or something that can string a combo together in your hand, you can do deal some big hits to enemies.

The showcase also highlights Blade’s more softer side, which ties into his passive “Friendship” ability. Leveling this up will increase the odds of how often Blade’s attack inflicts Bleed on an enemy. It starts out at only 10%, but very quickly can rank all the way up to more than 25%, making Blade a key character in taking down bosses or any other high-health enemies.

It’s unclear who the next character showcase will be, but Midnight Suns has a pattern of rolling out teaser videos of superheroes before focusing on them in an in-depth fashion, so the next character teaser should give us an idea of who to expect a deep dive on.
