A report by Cosmic Circus allegedly pinned down the Marvel hero actress Laura Donnelly will portray. It was already known that she will be one part of Werewolf By Night, a one-off special for the Haloween season this year on Disney Plus. If the report turns out true, you can expect Donnelly to play monster hunter Elsa Bloodstone.

Bloodstone made her debut in 2001 via a four-issue mini-series. She is the daughter of legacy character Ulysses Bloodstone, and she hasn’t run into titular werewolf Jack Russell all that much in her time in the comics universe. However, she is a big part of the supernatural side of the Marvel multiverse. From Ghost Rider and Blade to the literal son of Satan and Dracula, they’ve all been a part of the decades-long Marvel story.

Cosmic Circus goes on to speculate that Marvel could be gathering characters for a team-up in the future — possibly based on the Midnight Sons team from the comics. Moon Knight is currently turning heads on Disney’s streaming service, and Doctor Strange is well established in the movies. Add in Donnelly’s Bloodstone and a new version of Ghost Rider (or Mahershala Ali’s Blade), and you’d have a full team in the vein of Netflix’s Defenders.

Werewolf By Night is set to hit Disney Plus later this year, giving Marvel Cinematic Universe fans another peek into a dark corner of the Marvel universe that still has many tales to tell.
