The first trailer for the fourth and final season of the supernatural series Manifest is out–and the new Netflix acquisition is looking to tie up some loose ends after the season three cliffhanger.

The trailer, which Netflix released earlier today, highlights the returning characters and the dazzling special effects. Along with showcasing what will certainly be a thrilling start to the end of Manifest’s journey, one particularly brooding line will surely get fans excited: “We didn’t fly into the storm. It flew into us. It chose us.” This line alone looks to pick up where season three’s cliffhanger left off.

Manifest creator Jeff Rake originally intended the show to run for six seasons. But now that Netflix has taken over the series, they have given him 20 episodes–divided into two parts–to conclude the storylines. Rake has called this an “embarrassment of riches.” He, too, has said he is “absolutely confident that 20 episodes gives me enough time to tell the entirety of the story as I always intended to.”

NBC canceled Manifest back in July 2021, leaving the future of the show in jeopardy. After becoming a smash hit on Netflix (reportedly seeing 25 million accounts watch it in just four weeks), they decided to renew the show. It was reported this year that key cast members would be returning to wrap up Manifest, hopefully giving the devoted fans the sendoff they deserve. These cast members include Luna Blaise, Josh Dallas, Parveen Kaur,  J.R. Ramirez, Melissa Roxburgh, and Holly Taylor.

Part one of Manifest season four will premiere on November 4, beginning with the episode “Touch-and-Go”, directed by Romeo Tirone, who also helmed the season two and three finales, in addition to others. The final ten episodes do not have a release date set.
