Kojima Productions has been working in secret since Death Stranding Director’s Cut‘s release on PlayStation 5 in September 2021. It’s still unclear what the studio is working on, but its official website has posted a new teaser that features actor Elle Fanning.

Hideo Kojima Teases New Game Starring Elle Fanning

As discovered by modder Lance McDonald, the above picture is from a poster found at PAX Australia. The QR code on it points to Kojima Productions’ website without any other context aside from saying “A Hideo Kojima Game X Elle Fanning” across the side. Kojima seemingly loves casting Hollywood celebrities in his games, so this is just another to add to his list.

But it remains to be seen what game in that list she will be a part of since there are multiple reports on what Kojima Productions is allegedly working on. Multiple reports have pointed to a Death Stranding sequel, which Kojima himself cheekily responded to. There was also a report stating that he was working on a horror game called Overdose. Kojima later showed up during the Xbox + Bethesda Games Showcase to say he was developing a game with Xbox Game Studios, but did not give more information. It’s possible (but obviously unconfirmed) that Overdose and the Xbox game are one in the same.

Whatever it ends up being, Kojima has been teasing it since September, as similar posters went up around Tokyo Game Show. These older posters were a little different since they only had silhouettes of a mysterious person. However, many had correctly guessed that Fanning was the person in question.
