Karen Gillan shares a week in the life of Nebula with a behind-the-scenes video of the making of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
If you need a little more Guardians of the Galaxy to get you through the weekend, Karen Gillan has you covered. The actress has posted a fun 25-minute vlog which takes you through a week of Nebula’s life on the recent Marvel movie set. The video finds Karen Gillan explaining the Nebula makeup process, making her way through the set, and shooting scenes. If you haven’t seen the movie, there are a few spoilery moments, so be warned.
“I’ve decided to make this vlog, because I essentially snuck my iPad onto the set of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and decided to film all of this behind-the-scenes footage, and I totally got in trouble for doing it,” Karen Gillan said in the introduction. “I haven’t really seen that many behind the scenes Marvel things, but I have to assume I have gotten about as close as you can possibly get to showing how you make one of these movies. I took my camera from first thing in the morning, until the last thing at night, over multiple days, of filming. It was meant to be a day in the life but I enjoyed it so much it turned into a week. I hope that you enjoy this sneaky peek into what it’s like spending the week playing Nebula!“
Although it’s always possible Nebula could return in future Marvel movies, Karen Gillan has said that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is likely the final chapter for her character.
The latest installment of the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise finds our beloved band of misfits settling into life on Knowhere. But it isn’t long before their lives are upended by the echoes of Rocket’s turbulent past. Peter Quill, still reeling from the loss of Gamora, must rally his team around him on a dangerous mission to save Rocket’s life—a mission that, if not completed successfully, could quite possibly lead to the end of the Guardians as we know them.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is now playing in theaters, so be sure to check out a review from our own Chris Bumbray and let us know what you thought of the film as well.
