The upcoming third season of Amazon’s The Boys is set to adapt one of the most shocking aspects of the The Boys comic book series. And according to actor Jensen Ackles, it will be every bit as shocking as fans were hoping.

During a recent panel for the series at SXSW, Ackles teased the adaptation of the spin-off miniseries Herogasm, a story that sees the Vought superheroes lie to the public about needing to go off into space to fight aliens, when really they just travel to a secret island in order to have a massive orgy. While Ackles didn’t go into any details, he did tell a story about talking with a cameraman about the scenes.

“I think everybody knows that they somehow managed to tackle Herogasm this season,” said Ackles. “How we did that I will not say, but…holy sh*t! I’ll give you just a little story. I walked on set, not to say that I was in a particular scene, or whatever. But I was working that day and I walked up to our camera operator who was eating a sandwich outside of set, he had his mask down on his face and I said ‘Hey man, what’s going on? How’s it going in there?’ and he goes ‘Man, I’ve seen some sh*t today!’ And I was just like ‘Oh! Oh no!’ So yeah! Good times.”

This isn’t the first time that The Boys has teased the adaptation of Herogasm, with showrunner Erik Kripke noting last year that the dailies he’s seen for the shoots were some of the craziest he had ever seen in his entire career. The team behind The Boys doesn’t seem afraid to dive into some of the raunchier moments from the comic book, but it remains to be seen how exactly they will tackle this memorable storyline.
