While at the Producers Guild Awards this past weekend, Freaky Friday star Jamie Lee Curtis teased that a sequel to the 2003 Disney movie is likely on the horizon.

The actress clarified that while she wasn’t saying anything was “officially happening”, the Freaky Friday sequel is indeed going to happen.

“It’s going to happen,” she said. “Without saying there’s anything officially happening, I’m looking at you in this moment and saying, ‘Of course it’s going to happen.’ It’s going to happen” (via Variety).

Curtis has been discussing a potential Freaky Friday 2 for some time now. The star pitched a sequel to Disney and spoke to co-star Lindsay Lohan about the possibility last year. Earlier this month, Curtis even posted an old picture of herself and Lohan to Instagram with the caption “It’s Friday. I’m just sayin! Freaky fingers crossed!”

Freaky Friday made its theatrical debut in 2003. In addition to receiving positive reviews, the film was also a box office success, with a worldwide gross of more than $160 million against a reported budget of $26 million.
