Lady Sif, series, Thor

Jamie Alexander has played Lady Sif in the Marvel Cinematic Universe for over a decade at this point, and the actress believes that the time has arrived for a series centered around the Asgardian warrior.

While speaking with Variety, Jamie Alexander called upon fans to give their input on a possible Lady Sif series. “Listen up, guys — if you want to see a Lady Sif series, start pitching your ideas and we’ll put something together and make it happen,” Alexander said. “It would be so much fun continuing this.” After first appearing in Thor back in 2011, Jamie Alexander reprised the role for Thor: The Dark World as well as several episodes of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Loki, and What If…?. She also returned for Thor: Love and Thunder, which found the character teaching the next generation of Asgardian warriors in New Asgard.

As Lady Sif has managed to stay alive when so many of her fellow Asgardians have fallen, it’d be a shame not to explore her character further. Jamie Alexander has said that she genuinely loves playing the role. “Each time I get to play her, there’s this growth in the character and we find out more of who she is,” Alexander said. “That is a blast, because I’ve been able to slowly create this woman while still taking directions from all the comic books that existed before my performance.” The MCU hasn’t always made the best use of Lady Sif, and with the franchise expanding to include all manner of small-screen projects, why shouldn’t she have her own show?
