A listing in the latest issue of Production Weekly may have revealed the title of Dwayne Johnson’s upcoming Fast & Furious spin-off movie.

In the latest issue of Production Weekly, there’s a listing for the next installment of the Fast & Furious franchise. No, not Fast X – Part 2, but the upcoming spin-off featuring the return of Dwayne Johnson as Luke Hobbs.

According to Production Weekly, the title of the Dwayne Johnson spin-off is Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Reyes. If this does end up being the legit title, it would continue the format set in motion by Johnson’s first spin-off, Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw. Of course, the Reyes in the title would refer to Dante Reyes, the maniacal villain played by Jason Momoa in Fast X. The character is seeking revenge against Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) and his crew for the death of his father and loss of his family’s fortune, which occurred during the events of Fast Five.

After announcing that he wouldn’t be returning to the Fast & Furious franchise, fans were shocked to see Dwayne Johnson reprising his role as Luke Hobbs in the mid-credits scene of Fast X. The scene found Dante calling Hobbs to inform him that he would be his next target, and the potential title of the new spin-off certainly makes it sound like that’s where we’ll see this clash play out.

The next Fast & Furious film you’ll see the legendary lawman in will be the HOBBS movie that will serve as a fresh, new chapter & set up for FAST X: Part II,” Dwayne Johnson wrote on social media. “Last summer Vin and I put all the past behind us. We’ll lead with brotherhood and resolve – and always take care of the franchise, characters & FANS that we love.

We still don’t know when Dwayne Johnson’s new Fast & Furious spin-off will debut, but Vin Diesel took to Instagram earlier this month to announce that Fast X – Part 2 will be hitting theaters on April 4, 2025.
