A number of beloved cartoons based on DC Comics properties will be leaving HBO Max next month.

On January 31, the following list of television shows will be removed from HBO Max:

  • Aquaman (1967)
  • Batman: The Brave and the Bold
  • Justice League
  • Justice League Unlimited

The affected series have largely been well-received. Aquaman has had a recent stint on Cartoon Network’s Boomerang network, while Batman: The Brave and the Bold is still raved about by fans due to its celebration of and reverence for the long-running legacy of Batman.

Both Justice League and Justice League Unlimited are seen as high points of DC’s animated output, as the series presented many of DC’s iconic (and more obscure) characters in an accessible but well-written way. Notable talents who contributed their voices to both Justice League series include George Newbern, Phil LaMarr, and the late Kevin Conroy.

Warner Bros. Discovery made the news earlier this year when they began removing several well-received and recent animated series from HBO Max as the major merger took place. Some notable removals included Infinity Train, Close Enough, and Uncle Grandpa.
