While the September 2022 State of Play was mainly focused on Japanese titles, God of War Ragnarök still made an appearance. Sony showed off a new trailer for the highly anticipated sequel that focused on its story.

The trailer is fairly lengthy, meaning those who want to stay truly unspoiled may not want to dive right in. Regardless, it gives a handful of glimpses at the game’s many environments, showcasing a more varied display over its predecessor. It even teases some boss fights, including one with a particularly stalky god of thunder, and a few of its new combat mechanics.

Sony also seemingly teased users by playing footage of a new God of War-branded DualSense before the story trailer. This blue and white pad has a pair of wolves on it and will be available on November 9 in limited quantities. No price was given, so it’s currently unclear if it will be more expensive than a standard DualSense. Pre-orders open up on September 27.
