God of War Ragnarök just got its post-launch Photo Mode, and now Santa Monica Studio is prepping for New Game Plus. The team just confirmed that the action title will be getting a New Game Plus mode sometime in spring 2023.

The studio simply tweeted the release window into addition to the confirmation, something many assumed was already happening. The 2018 entry also got New Game Plus after its Photo Mode, so it seemed as though Ragnarök was following in those footsteps when its Photo Mode was revealed.

However, it’s a mystery how it will be implemented this time around. The 2018 game’s New Game Plus added new armor sets, another resource type, different enemy behaviors, stronger versions of existing gear, and more. It’s clear that Santa Monica Studio wants to give players more reasons to replay the game, but it remains to be seen how that will manifest in Ragnarök. Those details, as noted in the tweet, are coming at a later date closer to its release.
