Iron Fist, Finn Jones, MCU

Netflix’s universe of Marvel TV shows started out strong with Daredevil in 2015. The Man Without Fear was soon joined by Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, The Defenders, and The Punisher, but by 2019… all of those shows had been cancelled. But as we’ve seen, several of those characters have made the leap to the Marvel Cinematic Universe recently, and Finn Jones hopes that he’ll be able to return as Iron Fist one day.

While speaking with ComicBook.com, Finn Jones was asked whether or not he’d be down to return as Iron Fist, and the actor even has the perfect idea for the character’s potential reintroduction.

I would love to continue playing that character. I think there’s a lot of room for growth. Personally, where I would like to see the reintroduction of the character would be something like a Heroes for Hire TV series. I think that would be the most dynamic and fun way to reintroduce those characters.

Finn Jones continued, “I loved working with Mike [Colter] and I loved the on-screen chemistry between Danny and Luke. I think it’s a really interesting creative place that show can be taken in. I’d love to pick up that mantle again and keep moving this character forward and make the best possible Iron Fist there could be.” A Heroes for Hire show would be a great way to bring back Iron Fist and Luke Cage in one go, but it remains to be seen whether Marvel Studios plans on bringing back more of the characters from the Netflix series.

We’ve already seen Charlie Cox reprise his role of Daredevil in Spider-Man: No Way Home, and he’s also set to appear in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law and Echo, as well as headline his own Disney+ series, Daredevil: Born Again. We’ve also seen Vincent D’Onofrio return as Wilson Fist/Kingpin in Hawkeye, and he will reprise the role for Echo as well as the Daredevil series. Would you like to see Finn Jones return as Iron Fist in a future MCU project or should the character be recast?
