Disney+ with ads will launch this December

Many streaming services offer a cheaper, ad-supported alternative, and Disney+ will soon be joining them. The company announced several new tiers and pricing for Disney+, Hulu, ESPN+, and other bundles today, but it’s going to cost you more money. Disney+ with ads will be available in the U.S. on December 8th for $7.99 a month.

The current Disney+ subscription service with no ads will now be known as Disney+ Premium and see a price increase to $10.99 a month, or $109.99 a year. Hulu Basic will cost you $7.99 a month or $79.99 a year; Hulu Premium will cost you $14.99 a month but doesn’t offer an annual option. ESPN+ will cost you $9.99 a month or $99.99 a year. Here’s a breakdown of the various plans and bundles.

HULU + LIVE TV
Basic: Includes Hulu (with ads), Disney+ (with ads) & ESPN+ (with ads) — $69.99/month
Legacy*: Includes Hulu (with ads), Disney+ (no ads) & ESPN+ (with ads) — $74.99/month
Premium: Includes Hulu (no ads), Disney+ (no ads) & ESPN+ (with ads) — $82.99/month

Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ feature unparalleled content and viewing experiences and offer the best value in streaming today, with over 100,000 movie titles, TV episodes, original shows, sports and live events collectively.” Including subscribers across all their services, Disney announced that they’ve reached 221.1 million subscribers, marking the first time they’ve passed Netflix, which posted 220.67 million total subscribers.
