Exactly one year ago today, we shared an interview in which musician Glenn Danzig said he was working on the script for a sequel to his spaghetti western vampire movie Death Rider in the House of Vampires, was considering the possibility of making a sequel to his infamous anthology Verotika, and was also writing a script for a martial arts movie. Now Danzig has given updates on those projects in a new interview on the podcast Radioactive with Mike Z – and added another project into the mix. One that would feature biker werewolves!

Danzig said (with thanks to Revolver for the transcription),

The Vampires’ Vengeance is the Death Rider sequel. That’s almost done. Then I’m writing a werewolf biker movie — like one-percenter werewolf bikers, outlaw bikers. Then I’ve got a martial arts movie I’ve been working on for a while with the knife-fighting assassin. And then the Verotika sequel.”

So if you liked Death Rider in the House of Vampires and Verotika, it looks like you have more of that to look forward to! I haven’t watched Death Rider in the House of Vampires yet, even though the basic idea of a spaghetti western vampire movie is very appealing to me. The problem is that I have tried unsuccessfully to sit through Verotika at least twice and just can’t do it. So I’m hesitant to dive into Danzig’s second movie. Normally I would be hyped to hear about a biker werewolf movie as well, but again… since it’s from the filmmaker behind Verotika, I can’t get excited about it.

Have you watched either of the movies Danzig has made so far? If so, what did you think about them, and do you want to see more movies written and directed by him? Let us know by leaving a comment below.
