Electronic Arts has given users a few surprisingly early looks at the Dead Space remake, but those were more peeks behind the curtain instead of traditional marketing materials. However, now EA is giving players a more complete look at the game through its first gameplay trailer.

The footage shows a few familiar scenes from the original like some boss fights, as well as a quick peek at some of its streamlined gameplay mechanics. Players can also hear Isaac’s speaking voice, which is once again Gunner Wright, who played the character in the game’s two sequels.

Aside from its impending January 27, 2023 release date that would imply as much, it was reported that Dead Space details would be arriving in October. Not only is October fitting from a festive point of view, but also because it marks the anniversary of the game’s original release in 2008. The game’s Twitter account also began teasing something, which users then figured out, causing the team to confirm this latest trailer.
