O Chat Pile de Oklahoma City anunciou um novo EP dividido com o Nerver de Kansas City. O lançamento de quatro músicas é chamado irmãos em cristo, e será lançado em 14 de abril (via Reptilian/The Ghost Is Clear). A primeira oferta do EP é “Cut” de Chat Pile, que o vocalista Raygun Busch disse ter sido inspirado por Stephen King. Ouça abaixo.

“’Cut’ é uma homenagem ao conto de King”, explicou Busch, “particularmente ‘The Man Who Loved Flowers’, ‘Strawberry Spring’ e ‘The Jaunt’.”

O baixista do Chat Pile, Stin, acrescentou: “Essas faixas foram escritas e gravadas depois que gravamos País de Deus.” Ele continuou: “Queríamos usar este lançamento como uma desculpa deliberada para mudar de marcha e nos apoiar totalmente em nossas tendências mais indie e rock alternativo. Slint, Sonic Youth, Guided by Voices e Starfish’s Soluções Sônicas Estelares certamente estavam em nossas mentes na época.”
