The Cars on the Road clip shows Mater trying out a new engine that allows him to be faster than Lightning McQueen. The opening features the show’s official theme song by Bobby Hamrick.

Jake Monaco’s Cars on the Road soundtrack is now available. It features the musical talents of 79 musicians and 17 singers, and showcases memorable moments from the series, including the full version of the theme song plus the infectiously toe-tapping “Trucks” and show-stopping “Brain on Wheels.”

The Disney+ series is produced by Marc Sondheimer, with composer Jake Monaco set to score. Episodes are directed by Steve Purcell (Eps 1, 2, 8), Bobby Podesta (Eps 5, 6, 9) and Brian Fee (Eps 3, 4, 7).

“It follows Lightning McQueen (voice of Owen Wilson) and his best friend Mater (voice of Larry the Cable Guy) as they head east from Radiator Springs on a cross-country road trip to meet up with Mater’s sister,” reads the series’ synopsis.
