Burt Bacharach, o aclamado compositor cujas exuberantes orquestrações, desafiadoras progressões de acordes de jazz e melodias sem esforço o tornaram sinônimo da era de ouro da música pop americana, morreu aos 94 anos.

De acordo com a Associated Press, Bacharach morreu na quarta-feira (8 de fevereiro) em casa, em Los Angeles, de causas naturais.

O seis vezes vencedor do Grammy e três vezes vencedor do Oscar era conhecido por canções como “This Guy’s in Love with You”, “Raindrops Keep Fallin’ on My Head”, “(They Long to Be) Close to You”, e “É para isso que servem os amigos”.
