Brad Pitt, Bullet Train, Black Adam, release date

When DC’s Black Adam shifted its release date from July to October, it left a slot open on the release schedule and Brad Pitt’s upcoming action film has decided to occupy the space once made ready for Dwayne Johnson.

Bullet Train was originally slated for release on July 15, 2022, but now it has moved to July 29, 2022. The slot opened up Warner Bros. decided to move Black Adam to October. Per Deadline, The move gives Bullet Train a little breathing room behind Disney’s MCU Thor: Love and Thunder, which hits theaters July 8, 2022. In its new July 29 slot, Bullet Train will battle two other wide openers: Focus Features’ horror-thriller Vengeance and Paramount’s toon Paws of Fury: The Legend of Hank.

In the action-comedy from director David Leitch which is based on the novel “Maria Beetle” by Kōtarō Isaka, Bullet Train follows Pitt’s Ladybug, Joey King’s Prince, Andrew Koji’s Kimura, Aaron Taylor-Johnson’s Tangerine, Brian Tyree Henry’s Lemon, and Zazie Beetz’s Hornet, five assassins who venture abroad the titular Japanese locomotive. They’re in pursuit of various targets and as they begin their work, the five assassins come to learn that their assignments are interconnected and they have to figure out a way to survive the trip.

In addition to the aforementioned cast members, the film also stars Masi Oka, Michael Shannon, Logan Lerman, Hiroyuki Sanada, Karen Fukuhara, Bad Bunny, and Sandra Bullock. With a screenplay penned by Zak Olkewicz, Bullet Train is expected to hit screens on July 29, 2022.
